My vision all along was to do something that provides opportunity and value to people. No matter what I do, as long as it offers people an opportunity and it is of value, I am all for it. The idea of starting this online course booking portal was based on that.

I have seen the struggles of many education institutions, teachers and learners trying to find each other through a jungle of information and resources. Only a few heavily endowed institutions get their services out successfully.

Through LearnApe, we offer opportunities to teachers of any kind and individuals who has a certain skills to share with others, to offer their service to learners and make an earning from it. We want anyone who wants to teach or who are currently teaching to take this trade seriously. Sharing knowledge and skills for free is good. But to properly teach or transfer a skill set to others requires so much more time and effort. These teachers, whether they are professional teachers or serious hobbiers deserves to be rewarded for their efforts.

In addition to bringing teachers and learners together, I wanted to assist these teachers with resources, like venues, marketing efforts and a booking system, so that they could focus on providing quality course content. We want learners to be inspired in person by their skills, knowledge, creativity and story. We want teachers and learners to interact live and for learners to really learn by doing.

Another purpose of LearnApe is to offer an alternative leisure activities to the people of Berlin. We all coined Berlin as a city of the creative and so we want people to meet with people, see what skills they have to offer and learn from them.

As for the LearnApe website, customer experience is the most important aspect. We want our learners to be overjoyed not just with the courses but also the community shared experienced, the reviews and comments, the course descriptions, the story of our teachers and their business and our connection with learners.

We want to communicate our genuine cause to the teachers and learners. We want to create a website or a portal that is comfortable and inspiring for every users. The website was developed and designed by Murat Kemaldar. Our goal was to produce a welcoming and straight forward website to our learners where they will get all the important information about the courses and teachers in a glance.

Murat’s vision of the website was all about being straight-forward and easy to navigate. Of course aside from the aesthetic and front end of the website, there are A LOT that goes behind the backend. All the processes and payment methods and system are all well thought through by Murat. I must say this project and process was blessed with the good fortune of having an amazing task force.

Murat once said to me, I think we over-estimate how huge this project is… and I quote Mr. Ralph Waldo Emerson. ‘’Unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered, you will never grow.’’ The journey was a challenging one and it will only get tougher… But I know we could only try and if we don’t try….we will never know!
