How to get the most out of your camera and get the result you want without being stuck in Auto-mode?
This class will show you how it’s done. Get the basics right and the sky is the limit.
This beginner class is run and tested to be the most informative and compact course offered in town.
Designed to get straight into the technical and aesthetical principles of photography:
– the functions of your camera and identifying the right lenses to use
– Getting the essential settings (ISO, shutter speed, Aperture) right, under different light and movement conditions.
– Image composition and using the essential settings to produce the effects you want.
This course will give you the skills to avoid blurred images, under exposures and over exposures. We will also look at the work of some famous photographers to explore the key themes of interest, such as Landscape, Wildlife and Portrait Photography.
The course will be an interactive experience where you will practice with a series of simple, fun exercises. Using the techniques, you will also have the chance to create your own project. By the end of this class, you will control your camera in manual mode. This course offers students the chance to present their work with an online Photography Exhibition.
This is a weekend course.
Bring with you: a DSLR camera, Mirrorless camera or Compact camera, which has Aperture (A/Av) priority, Shutter (S/Tv) priority and Manual Mode.
